This is an excellent metaphor for real life and AI.
First, AI. These days we see so much AI slop, and people consumed by it. We can stop. How can we? It is hard enough as it is to fight the algorithm, but now AI is making things worse. Just saying that I will not encourage AI or algorithmic content does not make us safe. Just wearing googles does not make it safer. Never participate in the first place.
Second, life. Life is full of bullshitters and bullshit things. We can’t avoid it. If we wear a moral goggle and decide that we will just ignore those, that will not stop them. The only way, again, is not to participate. Do things that resonate with you. Maintain your privacy. Be better.
