Spider-Man 2 is a giant number 2 - 2/10

Why such a low score, you ask?

What was once amazing (Spider-Man 1) is now just woke trash. Look how they massacred my Spider-Man.

Spider-Man 2 will be a giant number 2 stain on the floor. Just like how Sami Zayn says.

Something was off from the very beginning. The gameplay was fairly decent, but the writing completely ruined it.

First, there were two Spider-Men competing for attention. And the writing for Peter was so poor that I played as Miles for most of the game. Miles was a better character than Peter. Maybe I’m biased.

Next, they added so many woke missions to this game that they took all the fun out of it for me. The MJ and Hailey missions were horrible. They did the same in Spider-Man 1, but to a lesser extent, and I could forgive them there.

The Venom storyline was pretty good. Kraven, not so much. Overall, Miles had a better plot than Pete.

The collectibles were good, just like in Spider-Man 1.

Why can’t I high-five pedestrians anymore?

Traversal got boring with the wingsuit. I like it, but it’s boring. Look at how Just Cause 3 made it fun.

So many missed opportunities.

And the boss fights, oh god. I thought bosses had one or two health bars. But now we have 4+? Why? That’s just lazy mechanics. I know they added a checkpoint after each health bar, but it could have been better.

This is not a game you need to buy. You can play it with a PS Plus subscription.

I’m still waiting for Eddie Brock Venom.

How come everyone suddenly speaks sign language now?

I miss the Spider-Man 1 intro. This game’s intro doesn’t hit the spot. The first one did it perfectly.

Time to stop the rant.

Good game, bad execution. I guess I expected too much.
